How To-48: "How to Warm Up"

Have you ever envied your favorite athlete? Getting ready to work yourself out into the perfect toned body? Here is an article on how to stretch so you can enjoy being active and healthy.

Steps

  1. Start off with 20 ankle rotations.
  2. Repeat with other ankle.
  3. Do 20 hip (both hips), shoulder (both shoulders), wrist (both wrists), and neck rotations.
  4. Do at least 50 jumping jacks
  5. Do 20 squat thrusts.
  6. Touch your toes 20 times (remember to do this slowly, this could damage your back) .
  7. Many of the best stretches involve knee and hip rotations.
  8. Make sure you do something to increase your heart rate, for example - jogging in place, jumping jacks, etc.
  9. Stretch as often as possible, a good habit is to do this every night before going to bed - soon you will see a difference.
  10. Do at least 10 push-ups.
  11. Drink plenty of water.

Tips

  • Stretch before every workout or you could pull a muscle.
  • This can be repeated after every workout as a cool down.
  • Drink a lot of water
  • Do not eat any food before exercise

Warnings

  • A pulled muscle can hurt a lot.
  • Don't do a stretch if you don't know how to do it right.
