UNIQUE TIOILET WITH BATH FOR RURAL
WOMEN
Film maker, Suresh Menon has come up
with a single-room eco-friendly toilet with closet, shower and washbasin, using
discarded shipping containers. Living
without toilets and bathrooms, most of the rural folk have to get up early to
finish their morning ablutions. Touched
by this, Menon has developed a toilet especially for women. A month ago, Menon installed one such toilet
in Manjakkudi village, 40 km from Kumbaknoam.
He is currently working on more such toilets to be supplied to remote
areas across Tamilnadu.
