Peppermint tea is a very soothing, delicious tea that refreshes both your body and your spirit. You can drink your tea leaves dry, or use one of the several other ways to make this sweet drink.
Steps
- Select some choice peppermint leaves from your plant. Lay them in one large heap in a tray in direct sunlight.
- Rip through the leaves several times.
- Spread the ripped leaves on a tray and leave for 24 hours.
- Check the leaves. They should be dry and crunchy. If the leaves are not ready, let them sit for another 24 hours.
- Boil water.
- Pour the boiling water over about two tablespoons of dried leaves.
- Cover and let steep for ten to twenty minutes, adding about five fresh bruised leaves of peppermint and/or spearmint.
- Pour leafy-tea into strainer over a mug. The tea should be in the cup/mug/teapot and free of leaves.
- Add sweetener and enjoy!
